Those Kids: Part Four

Those Kids: Part Four
By: Roger Alderman

After their victory, they were filled with joy;
Both the girls and each boy.
The joy would be short in each heart;
As their uncle informed them a friend had been torn apart.

The girls cried and the boys wept.
“Which of our friends? Was it a Girl or a Boy?”
Each alderman kids asked.
“The news said it was your best friend Roy.’

“Which specter performed the deed;
After all, we did just defeat Greed.”

 “I warned you that this task would leave you dead,”
their uncle sat shaking his head.

 “The specter of Wrath killed young Roy,
But it now looks like the departed boy.”
The children knew what had to be done,
With heavy hearts, this task would not be fun.

“We must find the specter and ensure it’s gone.”
“We must ensure that the specter dead.”
“No other family should feel like us.”
“Full of woeful sadness and fearful dread.

“Off to Roy’s house, you all must go,
But your anger will feed it so don’t let it show.”

Bobby felt ready with his baseball bat gripped tight,
Holding an eight ball in a sock Lee will fight all night.
Bella grabbed a rope and dangled it from up high,
Alexis readied the Urn and let out a sigh.
“His mom shouldn’t see us so stay out of sight.”

They crept through the house using great care,
Making sure his mom knew nobody was there.
They entered the room now a specters sacred place,
The door swung open inside was the specter with fear on its face.

Out the window into the specters backyard,
Each of the children landed quite hard.
“He won’t go without a fight that much we can all see,
We need to make ready the Urn I’m sure it will be key.”
