Those Kids: Part One
By: Roger Alderman
Our story begins as one often
does
With those Alderman children and
all that Ghost Hunter buzz
“There goes those Alderman Kids!”
their neighbors would say
“I sure wish the Alderman’s would
just move away”
Alexis loves to draw
Bella likes her friend
Bobby enjoys his clothes
And Lee plays computer games with
no end
They all like to challenge what
they believe they know
By watching and questioning their
uncle’s old Ghost Hunting show
They decided to use their uncles
Ghost Hunting Tech
Each did agree “what the heck!”
They used his old detectors
To try and seek out dark specters
In a nearby field they decided to
check
The field they played in often
Today held oddly contained a
sealed coffin
They drug it back home to see
what’s inside
Lee was fearful and decided to
hide
Bobby grabbed a hammer
So, He started to bang
But that old casket wouldn’t open
Bobby just yelled “DANG!”
Alexis looked for a better way in
to the casket just there
Bella set back just twirling her
hair
Lee quietly pointed at the casket
latch
The children now knew to get this
egg to hatch
The latch was released and the
flew wide
As seven vile specters raced
outward from inside
The children knew they must
return that ghastly batch
The evil spirits across their
small town raced
Leaving the children behind and
far outpaced
They gathered their gear and
decided to do what they know
They set out to do like the man
did on the TV show
Inside the casket now sat a
Mystical Urn they then examined it each in their turn
They must trick each specter into
the box
If they the chosen fail at their
task what could possibly happen you may ask
Each will suffer from a curse and
a ghostly pox
They have no choice but to put
the ghost back in the box
